What is the “I Study in Ulyanovsk” Olympiad?
The school track of “I Study in Ulyanovsk” is an international olympiad organised by Ulyanovsk State Technical University (УлГТУ). It is intended for students in their final school year and, from 2026, runs in a new format covering seven subjects and two competition stages: a qualifier and a final.
Students can use it to test their academic level in one or more subjects. Winners and prize-winners receive olympiad diplomas, which provide admission advantages when later applying to Bachelor's or Specialist programmes at UlSTU under the university's admission rules.

Official 2026/27 timeline
Create an account, choose your subject or subjects, and start the participation formalities.
The online qualifying test opens from this date, alongside some in-person participation organised by the university.
This is the date that matters most. Registration and the qualifying stage close at the same moment.

Who can take part?
That is the official wording verbatim (школьники выпускных классов) — you take part while still in your final year, before receiving your school certificate.
The platform itself is described as open to Russian and international participants, and the olympiad's official name carries the word “International”.
The subjects, the questions and the demonstration tasks are all in Russian — including the “Russian Language” subject itself. Factor this in before choosing your subject.
If it isn't clear whether your current year counts as a final school year, confirm your eligibility with the organisers before taking part. We can't confirm an exception that isn't written in the source.
