The season has not opened yet — the qualifier starts on 1 October 2026

The qualifying round runs from 1 October 2026 to 20 February 2027. That is the length of the stage itself, exactly as the regulations (§2.4) and the rules of procedure (§1.4) word it: "Отборочный тур проводится с 1 октября 2026 года по 20 февраля 2027 года". 🔴 20 February is not a "registration deadline"not one official document calls it that, and no separate registration window is published at all. What is published: the testing portal <bdi>testing.olymp.ncfu.ru</bdi> lets you create an account today, but no official text says registration for the season has opened. 🟡 And there is a second, entirely separate registration: "Регистрация на площадку финала" — a form per profile that books your seat at the in-person final. See the profile timetable below.

International eligibility

The current official documents do not agree on which countries are eligible: one restricts it to the near-abroad countries, while another covers both the near and the far abroad. So eligibility for a student from Egypt or any Arab country outside the near abroad needs written confirmation from the organiser before relying on this opportunity.

Official source ↗Verified: 8 September 2026
Can you apply? Read this first

⚠️ The box above states the conclusion: the current official documents do not agree on which countries are eligible. These lines show you both texts exactly, so you can judge for yourself:

🏛️ This olympiad is entry No. 31 on a list whose full name is: "Олимпиады школьников, победители и призеры которых могут претендовать на обучение в 2026/27 учебном году в пределах установленной Правительством Российской Федерации квоты на образование в Российской Федерации иностранных граждан и лиц без гражданства, в том числе соотечественников, проживающих за рубежом" — 42 entries across 4 pages, published as a PDF on studyinrussia.ru.

⚖️ And the precise wording of what listing confers is the list's own title: winners and prize-winners "могут претендовать" — they may put themselves forward for study within the quota. A possibility of applying, not a vested right, not a place and not funding.Being on the list is official evidence that international students are within the olympiad's scope at allbut it settles no particular nationality.

🔎 And in fairness: the list file itself carries no order number, no date and no named issuing authorityno "Утверждено приказом" and no seal. It contains a title and a table, nothing else. (We read it in full on 8 September 2026.)

🔴 But the organiser's own two official texts do not say the same thing about country scopeand this is the single most important line on the page:

The regulations (Положение) §1.5the higher-ranking document, approved by order № 1937-О on 21 August 2026limit participants from outside Russia to "учащиеся образовательных организаций стран ближнего зарубежья", i.e. the near abroad (the former Soviet republics) alone, and only where their programmes correspondunder Russia's international agreementsto the Russian level of basic and secondary general education. The homepage repeats the same wording.

The rules of procedure (Регламент) §2.1the procedural document for the same seasonsay of the qualifying round: "В отборочном туре принимают участие все желающие учащиеся, проживающие на территориях субъектов Российской Федерации, странах ближнего и дальнего зарубежья" — the near and far abroad. And §3.3 explicitly provides for foreign citizens' identity documents with a notarised Russian translation for the final.

⚖️ Egypt and the Arab countries are the far abroad, not the near abroad. So the two texts do not match, and the higher-ranking one is the narrower. We will not tell you "open to all international students", and we will not tell you "closed". What we can say precisely: the official texts conflict on country scope, and settling it for your own nationality needs written confirmation from the organiser[email protected] or 8-8652-94-37-33. Ask in as many words: may a student from the far abroad take part, and which documents are required?

The opportunity

What is the "45th Parallel" Olympiad?

An open olympiad for school students run by the North-Caucasus Federal University (Северо-Кавказский федеральный университетСКФУ) in Stavropol, southern Russia, together with its branches in Pyatigorsk and Nevinnomyssk. The name comes from the 45th parallel, the latitude the region sits on.

The official regulations (§1.4) set out its purpose: identifying and developing school students' creative abilities and their interest in scientific work, spreading scientific knowledge, and creating the conditions to support gifted children. And participation is voluntary and free (homepage and "О нас").

What matters for an Arabic-speaking reader: this olympiad is unusually multi-profile15 profiles spanning the sciences, humanities, engineering and the creative disciplines, and each profile has its own eligible grades, its own final date and its own cities. So the question is not "when is the olympiad?" — it is "when is my profile?".

And the foreign-languages profile includes Arabic in as many words: regulations §2.2 writes it "<bdi>иностранные языки (арабский, английский, китайский)</bdi>".

The potential prize

What do you get if you win?

🏛️ A possibility of applying within the government quotain the official list's exact wording. The olympiad is listed as No. 31 on the list published on the official portal studyinrussia.ru for school students in 2026/27 (the file ОШ 2026_27 утв_школьники.pdf), and that list's own title says it covers olympiads whose winners and prize-winners may apply for study in 2026/27 within the quota set by the Russian Government for the education of foreign citizens and stateless personsincluding compatriots living abroad.
🏅 And what the regulations themselves award winners: certificates and gifts. §8.5 says winners and prize-winners (25% of the actual number of final-round participants) receive "дипломы, грамоты, ценные (памятные) подарки" — diplomas, certificates of merit and valuable (commemorative) gifts.
📚 And even without a placing: a free online qualifier across 15 profilesArabic among themis the cheapest way to measure your real level against Russian standards before you build an application plan.

🔴 Read these four before you build anything on thisit is the most important paragraph on the page:

The regulations contain no admission benefit at all. We read them in full (20 pages) and the rules of procedure in full (9 pages): the only prize the documents provide for is diplomas, certificates and gifts. Not one word about admission without entrance examinations (БВИ), about 100 points counted on the ЕГЭ, or about extra individual-achievement points.

And this is not a "Перечень" olympiad. Quite the opposite§1.10 of the regulations says the organising committee submits an application to the Russian Council of School Olympiads (РСОШ) to compete for inclusion in the Ministry's "Перечень олимпиад школьников". In its own document's words: it is still trying to get onto that list. And the Ministry's list for 2026/27 was still a draft order, not an approved one, as of the verification date (the order in force is No. 669 of 30 August 2025, covering 2025/26). ⇒ БВИ / 100-point benefits do not arise here.

And any points figure you have seen elsewhere — "+3", "+5", "+10" — we cannot confirm. We searched СКФУ's published official documents and found no text granting this olympiad individual-achievement points at admission. Those numbers appear on third-party sites onlyand a third party is not a source. If you want to rely on them, ask the СКФУ admissions committee directly.

And winning is not a quota, not a place and not funding. What the ministry list confers is the possibility of applying ("могут претендовать") — the final admission decision is governed by the quota rules, the university's admission rules and the applicant's own status. This page carries no "NCFU scholarship", no "guaranteed admission" and no promise of funded study.

📄 Every word in this section comes from: "Положение об организации и проведении Открытой олимпиады … «45 параллель»" (§1.10 · §8.5) and "Регламент …" — both PDFs on the official /dokumenty page · and the Ministry of Science's 2026/27 school-students' list (ОШ 2026_27 утв_школьники.pdf on studyinrussia.ruentry No. 31). All read on 8 September 2026.

How to apply

How do you take part?

Everything runs through NCFU's educational testing portal, and the rules of procedure describe the process precisely. The key points: a student who does not register on the portal is not admitted to the olympiad at all (§2.3), and repeat registration is forbidden and annuls the results (§2.4):

Create an account on the NCFU educational portal — <bdi>testing.olymp.ncfu.ru</bdi>. The homepage sets it out in 3 steps: follow the linkclick "Вход" → create your account.
Register yourselfРегламент §2.3 says "должен лично зарегистрироваться". Your details go into a database and are processed under Federal Law 152-ФЗ.
One account onlyrepeat registration is forbidden, and if the committee receives two submissions from the same participant across two accounts, all of that participant's results are annulled and they are barred from continuing.
Work from your personal cabinet (личный кабинет)it is the only place you see the tasks, upload solutions and read your score. The committee does not send tasks by email.
Choose your profile from the 15each has its own eligible grades and its own final date.
Sit the qualifier at any time within the window (1 October 2026 – 20 February 2027) and from anywherethe regulations say it in as many words: "в любом месте".
And if you reach the final: register at "Регистрация на площадку финала"a separate form per profile, on the profile page and on the homepage, which books your seat in the final's city.
And prepare the final's documents earlyabove all the school certificate (справка): the site says it in as many words, "order it from your school in advance, and make several copies if you are entering more than one profile".

📋 Documents for the in-person finaltaken verbatim from the official documents page:

An identity document (passport or birth certificate) — original + copy. • A certificate from your educational institution (справка)the original. • Parent / legal-guardian consent to the collection, storage, use and publication of personal data for minors (the template is published on the documents page). • Stationery.СНИЛС (original or copy) — this is the Russian social-insurance number, and a student living outside Russia will usually not have one; the documents say nothing about an alternative for foreign participantsan item to ask about alongside the eligibility question.Permitted: water in a transparent bottle · chocolate · biscuits · medication if needed.

🌍 And if you are a foreign citizen: Регламент §3.3 says in as many words that "<bdi>Иностранные граждане предоставляют документ, удостоверяющий личность, с переводом на русский язык, заверенным нотариально</bdi>" — an identity document with a notarised Russian translation. Prepare it early.

🟢 And this timetable matches word for word across three independent official sources: the homepage · regulations §2.5 · rules of procedure §1.5plus each profile page read separately (we read all 15). Zero conflicts in any date or grade range.
🔴 But the heading above the timetable on the homepage still reads "График проведения 2025/2026" while every figure beneath it is 2026/27. We settled it as a stale heading that was never updatedbecause the regulations and the rules of procedure, both approved on 21 August 2026, carry exactly the same dates, and because the results archive on the site already contains a finished 2025/2026 archive. ⇒ The season of this opportunity is 2026/27.
🟡 And a second stale surface to watch out for: the informational page at school.ncfu.ru still shows the entire 2025/26 timetable (finals in March and April 2026). If you open it by mistake, those dates have already passed.

💻The qualifying round — online, and from anywhere

Format: "заочная форма" using distance-learning technologies in online mode, in the form of a computer test on NCFU's educational portal testing.olymp.ncfu.ru (regulations §2.3 and §2.4).
Time allowed to solve and submit the qualifying tasks: from one hour to 3 hours depending on the profile (Регламент §2.6.1).
You choose your own start time, provided the round finishes before the stage ends (§2.6.4). If you do not finish yourself, the fields you filled in and saved are submitted automatically when the time runs out.
And the regulations say in as many words that the task is solved individually "в любом месте"anywhere, from your own home (§2.4).
The tasks live in your personal cabinet only (§2.6.2), and the committee does not send them to anyone (§2.9). You fill in the answer form in your cabinet and, where the task requires it, upload a solutions file (§2.6.3).
Solutions must be typed on a computer (§2.8) — and attaching any files is forbidden unless the task calls for it.
🔴 And there is no appeal and no viewing of papers for the qualifierРегламент §4.1 says: "Показ работ и апелляции по отборочному туру не проводится". The papers are not returned, not copied and not sent to anyone (§2.12).
Results are published on the olympiad page and in your cabinetand the committee does not send results by email or by any other means (§2.11).

🎯How you reach the final — the threshold is an explicit number

🟢 The threshold: 45% or more of the maximum possible qualifier score. Регламент §3.1 says it in as many words: "К участию в заключительном туре Олимпиады допускаются участники отборочного тура (текущего года), набравшие по результатам отборочного тура 45 и более процентов от максимально возможного количества баллов".
And a second ceiling above it: the share of qualifier winners and prize-winners is no more than 45% of the total actual number of qualifier participants in that profile.
And there is a direct route into the finalregulations §2.5 admit winners and prize-winners of: the "45 параллель" olympiad in the same subject in the preceding year · the regional stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad (ВсОШ) · olympiads included in the РСОШ perечень for the current year · regional and all-Russian engineering contests and school scientific-practical conferences · the children's and youth media festival-contest "На 45 параллели" · and events approved by order of the Ministry of Education (Минпросвещения) for the current year.
And once you get through: the profile's organising committee draws up the participant lists and sends personal invitations to those who advanced (regulations §4.5).

🏛️The final round — in person, with real identity checks

Format: "очная форма" — in person, at the premises of NCFU's institutes, faculties and branches (regulations §2.3). And the cities published for 2026/27 are three, all inside Russia: Stavropol (six buildings depending on the profile) · Pyatigorsk · Nevinnomyssk.
🌍 Are there final centres outside Russia? The precise answer: the regulations allow it, and nothing published shows one. Regulations §2.3 and rules of procedure §1.3 say the final may also be held at "educational institutions in Russian regions and the countries of the near and far abroad and elsewhere, in accordance with an NCFU order" and/or remotely. ⇒ The possibility is written into the rules, but not a single centre outside Russia is published in the 2026/27 timetable. Do not assume one existsask before booking travel.
Duration: 3 hours 55 minutes maximum, without a break (regulations §2.17).
🔴 And identity verification exists and is explicit: "Участники допускаются в аудиторию строго по спискам при предъявлении паспорта" (§2.9) — entry is by list and on presentation of a passport. Регламент §3.3 spells it out: from age 14 the document is the passport; under 14 a school certificate with a photograph, the stamp covering a corner of the photo; and foreign citizens an identity document with a notarised Russian translation.
Room rules: arrive 30 minutes before the start · a seat assigned to each participant (one person per desk) · no mobile phone or electronic device even switched off · no reference materials or notes of any kind · a blue or black pen · only the answer sheets issued by the organiser · water in a transparent bottle and chocolate are allowed.
Leaving the room is permitted one hour after the start, for 5–10 minutes and accompanied by a committee representative, with the paper handed over temporarily. Leaving the building before submitting the work is not allowed.
Papers are coded: you fill in a "coding sheet" with your details, and any personal information on the remaining answer sheets is categorically forbiddenthe jury marks anonymised work (§2.13 and §2.18).
There are no reserve days for the final (Регламент §3.8). A latecomer is admitted with no extra time (§3.7).

📄 Source: Положение §2.3 · §2.9 · §2.16–2.18 + Регламент §3 — both read on 8 September 2026

🧪The exam format — and four subjects with a practical round

The qualifier: a computer test on the portal, solved individually, one to 3 hours depending on the profile.
The final: on paper in the room — "Задания составляются в одном варианте" (a single variant for everyone), which is why each participant sits alone at a desk (regulations §2.8).
🧪 And four profiles run their final in two stagestheory then practical: Chemistry · Biology · Design · Oil and gas engineering. The regulations say: "проводится в два этапа, первыйтеоретический, второйпрактический", and the two may fall on the same day or on different days. If they cannot be held, the subject methodological commissions develop alternative formats.
Marking: centralised, on coded papers, against approved criteria. After marking there is a "разбор заданий" (a walk-through of the solutions) for participants, after which the preliminary results appear.
Appeal (on the final only): within 3 days of the preliminary results being published, on an approved form submitted in person or as a signed scan together with the identity document to the organiser's email. Each hearing lasts 10 minutes per participant at most, and the decision is final with no second appeal. The mark may be raised, lowered or left unchanged.
And the content itself cannot be appealed: "содержание, структура и система оценивания заданий не могут быть предметом апелляции" (§7.13).

🎥Online proctoring — the precise position

🟡 There is no official text on electronic or webcam proctoring for the qualifier — "not stated", which is neither "there is none" nor "there is".
We read the regulations in full (20 pages), the rules of procedure in full (9 pages) and every page of the site: zero mentions of "прокторинг", a webcam, screen recording, or remote identity verification in the qualifier.
And what is written points the other way: the task is solved individually "в любом месте" and you choose your own start timeneither is a property of an invigilated session.
🔒 But integrity control does exist, by other means: repeat registration is banned (and annuls the results) · the time is limited · submission is automatic when time expires · and work is accepted only from the personal cabinet (§2.10).
🔴 And in the final the invigilation is human and in person: observers and student monitors · a check for devices (having any device, even switched off, counts as using it) · and presentation of a passport on entry.
What we can state with evidence: identity verification = yes (at the final, by document) · webcam proctoring = not stated.

🏆Winners and prize-winners — the numbers from the regulations

Winners (победители): 8% at most of the actual number of final-round participants (§2.23).
Winners + prize-winners (призёры) together: 25% at most of the actual number of final-round participants.
And an extra condition for winning: a participant is recognised as a winner only if their score exceeds half the maximum possible score in the olympiad. If nobody reaches it, only prize-winners are named and there are no winners (§8.2).
The official announcement of results is the jury's minutes published on NCFU's educational portalnothing else counts (§8.4).
And the prize (§8.5): diplomas, certificates of merit and valuable (commemorative) gifts funded from the olympiad's budget under an NCFU order. 🔴 Not one word in the regulations about any admission benefit.

📄 Source: Положение §2.23 · §8 + Регламент §4.4 — both read on 8 September 2026

🗣️Language — what is stated and what is not

🟡 Neither the regulations nor the rules of procedure contain a single working-language clause for the olympiad. We read both in full: there is no sentence such as "Рабочим языком проведения Олимпиады является русский язык" — a clause present in other Russian olympiads' regulations and absent here.We must not state "the olympiad's language is Russian" as a general fact.
What is actually established: every published material (the site · the regulations · the rules of procedure · the archived tasks and marking criteria) is in Russian, and the testing portal testing.olymp.ncfu.ru has a Russian interface.
And the foreign-languages profile is specified with three languages: "иностранные языки (арабский, английский, китайский)" — Arabic, English and Chinese (regulations §2.2). ⇒ It is the only profile where a language other than Russian is written into the regulations' text.
And an administrative indicator: Регламент §3.3 requires foreign participants to provide a notarised Russian translation of their identity documentso Russian is the language of administrative dealings.
The honest formulation: the published materials for most profiles are in Russian, the regulations do not state a single uniform language for every profile, and the foreign-languages profile names Arabic, English and Chinese.

📄 Source: a full reading of Положение §2.2 and Регламент §3.3 + the profile pages — 8 September 2026

⚖️Conflicts and unresolved points — in full and unvarnished

Country scopethe single most important unresolved point. Regulations §1.5 "стран ближнего зарубежья" against rules of procedure §2.1 "стран ближнего и дальнего зарубежья". The higher-ranking document is the narrower one.Egypt and the Arab countries are unresolvedwritten confirmation is required.
The "О нас" page is broader than both. It says "лица, осваивающие указанные образовательные программы за рубежом" (those studying these programmes abroad) — a third, different wording.three formulations of the same clause across three surfaces.
③ "О нас" says grades 7–11 while the profile timetable contains 6–11 for geography and 5–8 outside the competition for mathematics and computer science.Rely on your own profile's row, not the introductory page.
The heading "График проведения 2025/2026" sits above 2026/27 dataa stale heading (the evidence is in the timetable section above).
school.ncfu.ru is still entirely on the 2025/26 seasonan independent stale surface.
The annual order file itself is not published. We have identified it by number and date from the regulations' approval stamp (№ 1937-О · 21 August 2026) — but the order's own PDF is not on the site; what is published is its appendix (the regulations).
СНИЛС is among the final's documents with no published alternative for foreign participants living outside Russia.an item you must ask about.
The extra admission-points figures (+3 / +5 / +10) are unresolved. They appear on third-party sites, and we found them in no published official СКФУ document.
Final centres outside Russiaprovided for in principle, not published. (See the final-round section above.)
The latest item on the olympiad's news page is dated 13 May 2025meaning there is no official news item about the new season, and the timetable was updated silently. That is why we have not attributed a publication date to an update whose source states none.

🗓️ Every point here was recorded from a live reading on 8 September 2026and we re-check them at every update

🏛️The quota list — what it actually is, and what being on it confers

We read the source file itself (4 pages · 42 entries · sha256 16d27ff0…7545ac) on 8 September 2026, and this is everything it containswith nothing added and nothing interpreted:
🟢 Note those last three wordsthis is the school edition, in as many words.
And what listing confers = the list's own title, and nothing more. The Russian verb "могут претендовать" means they may put themselves forward / apply as candidatesnot "are admitted" and not "are entitled". ⇒ The narrowest faithful wording: winning gives a possibility of applying for study within the quota, and the final selection is governed by the quota rules and the university's rules.
🔎 And here is what the file does NOT containwhich matters: no order number · no approval date · no named issuing authority · no "Утверждено приказом" and no seal. The file is a title and a table, published on the official portal studyinrussia.ru. (Its file metadata says Microsoft Word and 15 January 2026that is metadata, not a publication date, not an approval date, so we attribute nothing to it.)
⚖️ And a distinction that must stay cleartwo entirely different lists:
ListWhat it confersIts status for 2026/27
(a) The quota list
the one this olympiad is onentry 31
A possibility of applying for study within the Russian Government's quota for foreign citizensPublished, and we have read it

БВИ (admission without entrance examinations) or 100 ЕГЭ points under article 71 of the education law🔴 still a draft orderthe one in force is order No. 669 of 30 August 2025, covering 2025/26
🔴 So the conclusion: we must not attribute БВИ or 100 points to this olympiad for 2026/27not from (a), because (a) does not confer them; and not from (b), because the olympiad is not on it (regulations §1.10 say the committee is submitting an application for inclusion) and because (b) itself is still a draft for 2026/27.

Eligibility

Who can take part?

School students and vocational (СПО) students

Regulations §1.5 name both groups: students of institutions delivering basic general, secondary general and secondary vocational programmes. And the grades differ by profilefrom 6 for geography to 9 for most profiles.

And grades 5–8 in two profiles — outside the competition

Mathematics and computer science only: "учащиеся 5-8 классов принимают участие вне конкурса" — they take part without entering the ranking for a placing.

Residents of Russia — settled

Students of educational institutions in Stavropol Krai and the other regions of Russia are eligible in as many words under §1.5.

⚠️ And from outside Russia — the scope is unsettled

Regulations §1.5 say the "near abroad" alone, while Регламент §2.1 adds the "far abroad" for the qualifier. And Egypt and the Arab countries are the far abroad.Ask for written confirmation for your nationality before you build a plan.

And it is entry No. 31 on the ministry list

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 school-students' listthe list dedicated by its own title to the quota for educating foreign citizens and stateless persons in Russia.

And taking part is free

"Участие в олимпиаде является добровольным и бесплатным" — voluntary and free in the official site's own words. There are no registration fees.

And a minor needs a guardian's consent

Among the final's documents: consent from a parent or legal guardian to the collection, storage, use and publication of a minor's personal datathe template is published on the documents page.

And taking part ≠ an admission benefit

Even if you win: the regulations award diplomas and gifts, and being on the list gives a possibility of applying ("могут претендовать") within the quota. Read "What do you get if you win?" carefully.

Common questions

Tap any question to open the answer

💬I am an Egyptian / Arab student — can I take part?

This is the most important point on the page, and the honest answer is: unresolvedthe official texts themselves conflict.

The regulations (Положение) §1.5the higher-ranking document, approved by order No. 1937-О on 21 August 2026limit participants from outside Russia to students of educational institutions in the "near abroad" (страны ближнего зарубежья) alone. The homepage repeats the same wording.

But the rules of procedure (Регламент) §2.1the procedural document for the same seasonsay of the qualifier: "all students who wish to, residing in the regions of Russia and the countries of the near and far abroad". And §3.3 explicitly provides for foreign citizens' identity documents with a notarised Russian translation.

And the "О нас" page gives a third wording: "those studying these programmes abroad".

And the olympiad is entry No. 31 on the Ministry of Science's 2026/27 listthe list dedicated in the first place to the quota for educating foreign citizens.

Egypt and the Arab countries are the far abroad, not the near abroad. So we will not tell you "open to all international students" and we will not say "closed". What we can say precisely: ask for written confirmation at [email protected] or 8-8652-94-37-33, in as many words: "may a student from the far abroad take part, and which documents are required?"

💬When is the registration deadline?

There is no published "registration deadline" — and that is an important fact.

What is officially published is the length of the qualifying round: from 1 October 2026 to 20 February 2027. The regulations and the rules of procedure call it "Отборочный тур проводится спо …" — a stage, not a registration window.

🔴 And 20 February is not a registration datenot one official document calls it that. It is the last day on which you can sit the qualifier.

In practice: create your account and sit the qualifier early within the window, not on the last day. And if you get through, there is a second, separate registration for the final's venue.

💬Is registration open right now?

The testing portal lets you create an account, but no official text says registration for the season has opened.

The distinction matters: testing.olymp.ncfu.ru is an educational portal that runs all year, and the homepage explains how to create an account. But the qualifying round itself begins on 1 October 2026 under the regulations and the rules of procedure, and there is no separate official announcement opening registration.

That is why this page says "the season begins on 1 October" and does not announce that the season's registration has opened. We never claim a door is open without evidence.

💬Does winning mean I get into the university on the quota?

Noand here is the full answer.

Being on the Ministry of Science's list (entry No. 31) means winners and prize-winners may apply for study in 2026/27 within the quota set by the Russian Government for foreign citizens and stateless persons. A possibility of applyingnot a place and not funding.

And the regulations themselves contain no admission benefit. We read them in full: the prize for winning is diplomas, certificates and gifts (§8.5) — not one word about admission without entrance examinations (БВИ), about 100 ЕГЭ points, or about extra points.

Quite the opposite: §1.10 says the organising committee submits an application for the olympiad to be included in the Ministry's "Перечень олимпиад школьников" — meaning that, in its own document's words, it is not on that list. And that list is the source of БВИ / 100-point benefits; it is not the quota list.

And any points figure you have seen elsewhere (+3 / +5 / +10) is unconfirmed by uswe found it in no published official СКФУ document.

In short: a possibility of applying within the quotayes. A place, funding or БВИno.

💬Is the qualifier online or in person? And the final?

The qualifier is online from anywhere; the final is in person inside Russia.

The qualifier: a computer test on NCFU's portal, "заочная формав режиме online", solved individually "в любом месте"from your own home.

The final: "очная форма" at NCFU premisesStavropol, Pyatigorsk or Nevinnomyssk, depending on your profile.

🌍 Are there centres outside Russia? Regulations §2.3 allow premises in "the countries of the near and far abroad" in accordance with an NCFU order, or a remote format. But not a single centre outside Russia is published in the 2026/27 timetable.Do not assume one exists.

💬Is there webcam proctoring in the qualifier?

Not statedand that does not mean "there is none".

We read the regulations in full (20 pages), the rules of procedure in full (9 pages) and every page of the site: zero mentions of electronic proctoring, a webcam or screen recording in the qualifier.

And what is written points the other way: the task is solved "anywhere" and you choose your own start timeneither is a property of an invigilated session.

🔴 But in the final the checking is real and in person: entry to the room is by list and on presentation of a passport, there are invigilators in the room, and any electronic device, even switched off, counts as use and the participant is removed.

💬Is it in Russian?

Neither the regulations nor the rules of procedure contain a single working-language clauseso we will not state "the olympiad's language is Russian" as a general fact.

What is established: every published material (the site · the regulations · the archived tasks and criteria) is in Russian, the testing portal's interface is Russian, and foreign participants are required to provide a notarised Russian translation of their identity document.

🟢 And the exception that is written down: the foreign-languages profile appears in regulations §2.2 as "иностранные языки (арабский, английский, китайский)" — Arabic, English and Chinese.

💬Which documents does the final require?

Taken verbatim from the official documents page:

An identity document (passport or birth certificate) — original + copy. • A certificate from your educational institution (справка)the original, ordered from your school in advance, with copies if you are entering more than one profile.Parent or guardian consent to the processing and publication of personal data for minors. • Stationery.СНИЛС (original or copy). • Permitted: water in a transparent bottle · chocolate · biscuits · medication.

🌍 And for foreign citizens Регламент §3.3 requires an identity document with a notarised Russian translation.

⚠️ Note: СНИЛС is a Russian social-insurance number, and a student living outside Russia will usually not have oneand the documents mention no alternative. Ask about it alongside the eligibility question.

💬What is the difference between this and the student "45 параллель"?

They are two entirely different competitionsand confusing them costs a year.

This one (the page you are on): "Открытая олимпиада СКФУ «45 параллель» среди учащихся образовательных организаций" — for school and vocational (СПО) students, 15 profiles, and entry No. 31 on the Ministry of Science's school-students' list.

The other one: "Всероссийская студенческая олимпиада (с международным участием) «45 параллель»" — for university students, and entry No. 42 on the ministry's Master's list.

🔴 And the phrase "with international participation" belongs to the student edition aloneit must not be carried across to the school edition. The same goes for the dates, the subjects, the grades and the eligibility: they have nothing to do with each other.

Every figure and quotation on this page is taken from the olympiad's official site (parallel45.olymp.ncfu.ru), from the official regulations and rules of procedure (PDFs · approved by order № 1937-О on 21 August 2026) and from the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education's 2026/27 listall read on 8 September 2026. And the eligibility of students from the far abroadEgypt and the Arab countries among themis unresolved in the published texts and needs written confirmation from the organiser. The olympiad is competitive and winning is not guaranteed (winners are capped at 8%), being on the list gives a possibility of applying within the quotanot a place and not funding, and the regulations set out no admission benefit at all. The official site is always the final reference.
