For the Bachelor's, Master's and PhD tracks: solving the olympiad tasks online under electronic proctoring — 175 minutes written and 5 minutes oral. For the post-doctoral track: a competition based on a video presentation of your research results.

Online interviews, up to 6 per participant. PhD track: with potential supervisors and track directors. Post-doctoral track: with research project leaders.
The Stage 2 sample test is officially published, and it contains 46 tasks broken down as follows:
- 25 basic-level tasks — one correct answer
- 15 intermediate-level tasks — several correct answers or a model answer
- 3 advanced-level tasks — requiring a detailed answer
- 3 oral-response tasks
📌 The advanced and oral tasks are published together with the assessment criteria and model answers — so you can see exactly what you're being marked on.
⚠️ These figures describe the published sample, according to the official source — the actual exam may differ.
💡 Why this matters: you have 175 minutes for the written part, and the 25 basic tasks are far quicker than the 3 written-answer ones. Plan your time accordingly.
And appeals apply to the advanced tasks only — that is, 3 tasks out of 46.
